Melancholy: Robert Pattinson clearly missed Kristen Stewart as he arrived in Toronto without his girlfriend
After a brief reunion at the MTV Movie Awards over the weekend, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson went their separate ways yesterday.
Stewart was spotted sneaking into Los Angeles International Airport with her bodyguards before arriving in London's Heathrow, while Pattinson arrived in Toronto to continue filming on Cosmopolis.
The Twilight couple managed to spend some quality time together at the awards show and at an after party together, but were soon torn apart again due to filming schedules.
Back in Britain: Kristen Stewart touched down in London today at Heathrow Airport
So it was no wonder that Robert looked rather melancholy as he strolled through the Canadian airport in casual jeans and scruffy trainers.
Pattinson, 25, is currently filming the David Cronenberg drama and stars as the lead male, Eric Packer.
The film follows a multimillionaire on a 24-hour Odyssey across Manhattan.
But his character as Edward Cullen is still his most famed role to date and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse won Best Movie at the MTV Movie Awards this week.
Torn apart: Meanwhile Kristen Stewart was spotted at LAX with her bodyguards and looked equally as sullen
He also won Best Male Performance in the film, while his girlfriend and co-star Kristen, 21, won Best Female Performance.
And Pattinson even won Best Fight after getting physical with Bryce Dallas Howard and Xavier Samuel in the film.
During the awards show the actor found himself at the centre of controversy when he and Reese Witherspoon both dropped the F-bomb on live TV.
After the reunion: The couple had previously spent some much needed time together at the MTV Movie Awards before saying goodbye again
Reese, 35, who was honoured for the Generation Award, was mentioned in Pattinson’s speech to honour her, and his language soon turned foul-mouthed.
Speaking of working with her in 2004 on Vanity Fair and again recently in Water For Elephants, he said: ‘Seven years later we worked together on a movie called Water For Elephants and you played my mother… I didn’t cut you out, but I did f**** you’, he exclaimed.’
He was referring to some of his Vanity Fair scenes being cut out seven years ago.
Cute couple: Kristen Stewart looked gorgeous in a little red dress at the MTV Movie Awards but had to say goodbye to Pattinson after the event
Co-stars: The Twilight couple both picked up awards for Best Male Performance and Best Female Performance
Reese then made her own inappropriate speech; by saying he had missed the punch line with his own joke.
She said: ‘You’re the best mother****** in Hollywood’, she suggested was a better way of telling the gag.
Meanwhile, the trailer for the next Twilight instalment, Twilight: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 has just been released.
Watch the trailer below:
Award winners: Twilight Saga: Eclipse won Best Movie at the MTV Movie Awards
Play fighting: The couple showed their affection for one another on stage in Los Angeles

Action man! Will Smith throws himself out of a window as he does his own death-defying stunts filming Men In Black III
By JODY THOMPSON
Long way down: Will Smith was pictured doing his own stunts and throwing himself out of a window while filming Men In Black III in New York yesterday
He's already got his work cut out protecting earth from the scum of the universe - so flinging himself out of the window of a highrise building while filming Men In Black III was par for the course for Will Smith yesterday.
Wearing the distinctive black suit of his character Agent J and holding a gun, the 42-year-old was seen flying through the air with the greatest of ease as he did his own stunts on the set.
Obviously, just out of shot was a great big crashmat, but it's still pretty impressive for a multi-millionaire movie star to get his hands dirty like this.
Flying without wings: The star would have been landing on a huge great crash mat however to cushion his fall
Keep on running: The star, who plays Agent J in the comedy sci-fi, was seen sprinting though the streets too
Will was spotted filming equally daring stunts as the movie shot on location elsewhere in New York last month.
Yesterday, he was filming in the Soho area of Manhattan for the movie, which sees Will's Agent J sent back in time to save Tommy Lee Jones's Agent K.
Josh Brolin plays the younger version of the character in the scenes set in the 1960s and 1970s.
Leap of faith: The star is reprising his role as Agent J in the movie, the third in the comedy sci-fi franchise
Back in time: Will with Men In Black III co-star Josh Brolin preparing to film another scene
Chilling out: Will goes through his paces between takes in the sunshine
Earlier in the week, the crew had turned parts of the city's Jamaica Avenue into 1969 New York by converting all the shopfronts to look retro and even stocking them with products from the time.
Film publicist Frances Fiore revealed Men in Black III also shot footage recently near the Unisphere and New York State Pavilion, remnants of the 1964 World's Fair in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park.
The blockbuster features Smith chasing an alien up one of the pavilion's towers, which becomes a spaceship and crashes into the Unisphere.
Retro in the metro: The film sees Will travel back in time to the late 1960/early 1970s
Preparing to launch: The movie will be another all-action affair as the Men In Black battle against aliens to protect the Earth from the scum of the universe
And...action! A crew member brandishes an electronic clapperboard near Will before he prepares to shoot the last take of the day
Smith and Brolin are joined by Tommy Lee Jones, Alice Eve, Emma Thompson, Nicole Scherzinger, Rip Torn and Johnny Knoxville in the third instalment of the sci-fi comedy.
Filming has caused some controversy so far however, when residents complained after Will's huge trailer blocked their views and way when it was parked in their street in Soho.
Crew were forced to re-locate the trailer to a parking lot.
The new movie meanwhile, the follow up to the last MIB installment some 13 years ago, is expected to be released next May.

Now we've really seen it ALL: Lady Gaga leaves nothing to the imagination as she hits the dancefloor in a sheer body suit
By CHRIS JOHNSON
Ruffled train: Gaga completed her look with a turquoise wig with lashings or red lipstick and nail varnish
After accidentally exposing her nipples as she arrived at the CFDA Fashion Awards, Lady Gaga decided she may as well go the whole hog at the after-party.
The flamboyant singer ended up removing her custom-made Mugler gown to just the sheer bodysuit underneath, leaving nothing to the imagination.
Make some room: With her large train and 24 inch heels, it's amazing Gaga managed to stay upright
The 25-year-old had just nipple covers and a G-string protecting what little modesty she had left as she danced at the bash at The Standard hotel in New York.
The singer was clearly in high spirits after being named Fashion Icon at the CFDA Fashion Awards hours earlier.
Her revealing after-party outfit came hours after Gaga's wardrobe malfunction on the purple carpet at the awards at the Lincoln Center.
Helping hand: The singer was assisted by a minder as she arrived, staggering around on her vertiginous heels
Posing with her left arm clutching her turquoise wig, it was hardly surprising that the precarious outfit gave way.
Gaga was assisted by a minder as she arrived at Alice Tully Hall, staggering around in a staggering pair of 24in vertiginous platform heels.
Her dramatic outfit came complete with a ruffled train and with spikes running down between her derrière, begging the question as to how she sat down inside the awards show.
Camera-shy: Dressed-down Gaga wasn't quite so ready for the camera earlier on Monday
Lady Gaga accepted the Style Icon award from V magazine editor-in-chief Stephen Gan.
Accepting her accolade, she said: 'All of you made me feel like a star before I was.
'As much as this award means to me personally... I just want you to know how much this means to young Americans.'
Designer Marc Jacobs received one of the biggest honours of the night from the Council of Fashion Designers of America - the Lifetime Achievement Award.

With the CD version of “Bijin” due tomorrow in Japan, Super Junior’s official Japanese website has been updated with new photos of the boys, along with a promotional clip.
“Bijin”, a Japanese version of their Korean hit song “BONAMANA“, was used in a commercial for the popular convenience store chain “Circle K Sunkus” that currently operates 6,257 stores throughout Japan. Recording the new song with the Japanese lyrics back in March wasn’t much of a problem for the members, and the commercial, that was actually already filmed in February, was almost done in one take, underlining the professionalism and versatility of the group.
The new photos shows the boys in their chic fashion, and also includes a brief profile.
Having been released digitally on May 18th, the CD release will follow on June 8th.
